Let’s start with the German course. = Lass uns mit dem Deutschkurs beginnen.

Let’s first go over the German alphabet. It’s very easy and it’s similar to the English alphabet. = Lass uns zuerst das deutsche Alphabet durchgehen. Es ist sehr einfach und ähnlich wie das englische Alphabet.

The German alphabet has four additional letters: ß, ä, ö, ü ß is called “sharp s” and it’s pronounced the same way as the letters “ss”. In German ß is called “scharfes S/ das scharfe S” or “das Eszett”. ä, ö and ü are called “umlauts”. In German they are called “die Umlaute”.
